The Lipstick That Isn't Worth £37

Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Tom Ford lipsticks, but when a lippy is costing you £37, then i'm expecting something WOW!

I have a lot of the other Tom Ford lipsticks, and i absolutely love them. They are super pigmented, long wearing, moisturising, and come in a variety of shades. The Lip Shine Color Lipsticks are meant to be a sheerer version of their Private Blend lipstick, but i was left a bit disappointed. :(

I picked up the shade Nubile, which i thought would be a beautiful sheer nude that i could wear on a daily basis. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with this lipstick, but i was hoping for it to be on par with their Private Blend Lipstick, and for £37, it wasn't what i was expecting.

The formula of the lipstick is gorgeous, because it does have a thick balmy texture, so it's great for people who suffer from dry lips. I do find that because it is a balmy texture, the lipstick doesn't really last that long on the lips. I think i was able to wear it for about 2-3 hours before it had completely disappeared.

The shade is a soft brown nude, and it did look lovely on my skin tone, but it didn't give that oomph that i would have wanted from a lipstick.

I just found that the lipstick didn't really stand out to me. I admit that i did have high expectations, especially with it being from Tom Ford, but there was just something missing? Personally, i will be sticking to my Korres Lip Butter because they are perfect for everyday and don't cost over the odds.

Have you ever spent a lot on a product, to then be disappointed?
