Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm For Lips Review

As the cold weather has been heading our way, i have had to take measures to stop my lips from getting dry and chapped.

I decided to give the Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm For Lips a go, as i had heard great things about it and also wanted to compare it to the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream.

This balm was originally created for nursing mothers for sore nipples, however it has numerous uses, from dry cuticles, nappy rash etc. It is a 100% natural and made from pharmaceutical grade lanolin, which is actually beneficial to our skin and is great for people who suffer with skin sensitivities.

The consistency is very thick, similar to the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream but without the medicinal scent. When it is applied to my lips, it does feel sticky, but i think it is due to the thickness of the product. I wouldn't describe this as a light balm, however i am aware when I'm wearing this and i love the fact that is odourless and tasteless!

I tend to use this before i go to sleep, as i find it too heavy and thick for daytime use. My lips feel incredibly smooth and soft in the morning, and there's no sticky residue left!

I haven't used this anywhere else and will probably just stick to using this on my lips because you can see from the picture below how small it actually is, compared with the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream. I think it's a great size for on the go and travel, but I'm not sure if the teeny tiny tube is worth the £11 price tag!

Overall i have been loving this product and have noticed such an improvement in my lips, as they don't get too dry or flaky. I know for a fact that i will be getting through this tube quite quickly in the next few months with winter coming in!
