Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick Shame Review + Swatches

I can not tell you guys how much i have been obsessed with the Urban Decay Revolution lipstick in Shame. I tried it out when i was in Oxford Street a couple of weeks back and when i first saw it, i honestly thought it was way too dark for me. You all know how much of a nude lip girl i am!

I ended up trying Shame on my lips and kept on getting compliments as i walked though out the store! That's when i knew i had to get it!

I was very lucky to have been sent a couple of other shades from the collection and by trying those out, i ended up picking up a few more! The other shades will be reviewed soon.

I love the the packaging of this......I'm not one to really bother with how a product normally looks but i admired the bullet style design. The sleek packaging just looks so modern and fits in with the 21st century woman.

The lipstick does not have a scent nor a taste, thank goodness! A strong scented lipstick can really put me off, however these have nada!

I have seen so many swatches of Shame online and it was very hard to get an idea of the shade. On me, Shame appears as a vampy deep berry, however it will appear different on various skin tones. Shame seems to be the perfect autumnal shade, but can also be dressed up for a night out.

Left-Right: Jordana Quickliner Cherrywood, Urban Decay Shame.

I have been wearing this every single day since i got it and i have received numerous amounts of compliments.....which is a good thing, right? I have kept the rest of my makeup very simple, and i mean simple! I have only used a small amount of blush and mascara. I think Shame does all the work!

These lipsticks are super hydrating and moisturising, and i have noticed that it doesn't dry out my lips. It is a cream finish and doesn't settle in the lines. I would suggest using a lip liner with this bold colour. I have been using Jordana Quickliner in Cherrywood, as it matches Shame perfectly. Also i have a lip brush, just so that i can apply the colour more precisely.

I applied my lipstick at 7.30am and you can see below how the lipstick has worn after about 6 hours (sorry for the crappy iphone picture!).  I had already had my morning cup of tea, eaten lunch and been drinking as well. I am truly amazed at how long this lipstick has lasted without the need of touching up!

Personally i am not used to wearing such bold, deep colours, however i am thrilled with this lipstick. Not only is the colour beautiful, but the texture and formula are perfect. I can not fault these new lipsticks from Urban Decay and i think they have got it spot on! I am now looking into getting a few more shades........hmmmm!
