Urban Decay Vice Palette Review & Swatches

Last week i came across the new Urban Decay Vice Palette and it was one item i had wanted for a while!! Whilst in London, i managed to pick one up from Debenhams.

The palette consists of 20 BRAND NEW shades and includes a wide range of finishes: matte, satin, metallic and glitter. This item is limited edition, so i would suggest moving quickly if you are wanting this palette!

The packaging really reminds me of the NARS packaging with the rubberized finish. For me i wouldn't travel with this palette, as it simply is just a bit bulky compared with the Naked Palette. This also has a huge mirror within the palette and also includes a double ended brush. I would have preferred one of their eyeliners or primer potion, as i hardly use the brush that was in the Naked 2 Palette.

I noticed a few of their eyeshadows had a bit of fallout when applying, such as: Muse, Jagged and Armour. If you are using these colours, do your eye makeup first and then your base. Sometimes i like using a cream eyeshadow or a MAC Paint Pot as it gives something for the eyeshadow to adhere to with minimal fallout.

Swatches are below and in the same order of the palette.

Left-Right: Desperation, Muse, Jagged, Blitz, Penny Lane
Left-Right: Junkie, Chaos, Occupy, Unhinged, Black Market
Left-Right: Provocateur, Rapture, Vice, Noise, Armour
Left-Right: Nevermind, Echo Beach, Anonymous, Freebird, Laced

I love how there are a few matte colours and especially the flesh toned colours (Anonymous and Lace) as they are great transitional colours. In this palette, there is a wide variety of colours for every occasion. The eyeshadows apply so smoothly and blend extremely well.

Overall am i happy i got this palette?? YES! It is definitely one i will be using a lot leading up to the festive season. I managed to create a look using some of the colours from the palette (Junkie, Chaos and Black Out). What do you think?

The Vice Palette is £42 and can be purchased at House Of Fraser and Debenhams.
