Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask Review

I love the pampered feeling when using a mask, however I find that my skin needs a change every now and again.

I've wanted to try out the Peter Thomas Roth masks, and the one I had my eye on (I think it was the pumpkin one) isn't sold in the UK. Booo! I ended up purchasing the Irish Moor Mud Mask after reading a lot of reviews, and my goodness I don't regret it at all!

I've been using this mask twice a week for the last four weeks, and my blemishes have really started to calm down. I've noticed that there is barely a dent in the 150ml jar of product, so this will last you a pretty long time.

There are several ingredients in this little pot, including 9,000 year old black moor mud, Hijiki seaweed and volcanic ash. This mask is ideal for those who have congested skin, and I like applying this to my face after I have had a shower. This allows the mask to penetrate deeper into the skin, although I do feel a tingling sensation once it's on the face. One thing that I have noticed is that there is no smell at all, so this is great news for those who aren't keen on skin products with fragrances.

This face mask doesn't dry on the face like other masks, and it's recommended that you leave it on for about 10 minutes. I prefer removing all my face masks with a damp muslin cloth (it does stain white muslin cloths). I don't have sensitive skin, however I did notice that on removal of the mask, my skin was slightly red. :/

Some people have said they have experienced breakouts after using this face mask, but to be honest I have had the opposite effect! It's actually helped clear up my skin, as well as getting rid of the congestion around my nose and chin area. I really enjoy using this mask, and I have noticed such an improvement in my skin.

You can pick this face mask up from Look Fantastic for £32.95

Have you tried anything from Peter Thomas Roth?
