I feel as though i have an American beauty products theme happening on my blog and i apologize for that! I was sent nine of the Milani Baked Blushers from a friend and Rose D'Oro is one that i have been reaching for a lot.
This reminds me of the MAC Mineralize skinfinishes with the different coloured threads running through the blush. It is a dome shaped blush, however it comes in much bulkier packaging with a compartment underneath the blush containing a mirror and a brush. I have to say the packaging is much more sturdier than the MAC Mineralize blushes.
Rose D'Oro is a peachy gold blush with a shimmery finish. It has a lot of pigment and applies very evenly to the cheeks. This blush looks beautiful on tanned skin and saves me having to use highlighter, as it gives a subtle glowing, glistening look.
You don't need much product on the brush, and one of the most common mistakes is swirling the brush too much over the product, which creates some fallout. I prefer using the MAC 187 brush, as it picks up enough product without any fallout. I like stipling this onto my cheeks and building up the colour, because you can overdo the blush!
I can't use this on bare skin, because it would pretty much disappear from my oily face! I only use this when i have used a base, whether it's a tinted moisturiser or foundation. I feel that this blush does need something to adhere to, so i wouldn't recommend using this alone if you have oily skin.
I have heard that Milani can be found in some pharmacies in the UK, however it isn't readily available here like it is in the US. For all you guys living in the USA, Milani blushes are $7.99 and can be found at the majority of drugstores.
Have you tried any Milani Baked blushes?
