I was lucky enough to be sent some lovely makeup from across the pond by a good friend (Martha, thank you very much!) and one of the items i was eager to try was the Milani Color Statement Lipsticks. I have heard some great things about these lipsticks and when i tried them, they didn't disappoint!
The lipsticks come in different finishes: vinyl, matte, metallic, cream, shimmer and pearl and i think for a drugstore brand, that's a lot of variety! They also have 30 different shades to choose from.
I love the gold packaging and that the lids snap firmly in place. It is so handy to have the colour of the lipstick at the bottom of the tube......makes my life a lot easier in the morning! There is a slight watermelon scent but it's nothing too overpowering, however the taste and scent do linger for about 10-15 minutes but it's not an offensive taste.
I got four colours:
Flamingo Pose - Bright, pink coral.
Plumrose - Soft pinky brown.
Uptown Mauve - Violet pink.
Sangria - Deep berry.

The colour payoff is incredible and is very opaque, so you only need one stroke. The lipstick contains vitamin A, C and E, that helps keeps the lips moisturised and hydrated and it is very smooth on application. These lipsticks are fantastic if you're one of those people that do great dry lips because it won't emphasise the dryness, it will actually help moisturise your lips.
These lipsticks lasted about 3-4 hours on me.....i was eating and drinking too. They do fade very evenly and noticed when i wore the darker colours, they left a stain behind on my lips.
These are probably one of my favourite drugstore lipsticks because i have never come across drugstore lipsticks which are so soft and creamy. They leave my lips feeling nice and hydrated and the formula is just incredible. I just wish we could get them here in the UK!
Milani Color Statement Lipsticks retail for $5.49 and can be purchased HERE and at Target, CVS, Walmart.
Have you tried Milani lipsticks? Thoughts?
