Drugstore Products Worth The Hype

I thought i would share with you some of the drugstore products that i think are worth the hype!

Soap and Glory Kohl Smolder

This has got to be one of the best drugstore kohl pencils i have ever tried! I have been using it recently and trust me when i say this eyeliner doesn't budge! This kohl pencil stayed put all day and evening. I had to use a good eye makeup remover to take this off!

Wet n Wild Palette

Incredible palettes at ridiculously cheap prices! The 8 shadow palettes are great for creating a day/night look. They are super pigmented and blend very well. The palettes are very travel friendly. The only downside is that they are hard to find in the UK.

Sleek Contour Kit

A holy grail item for me! I have it in both medium and dark and i am obsessed with them! The powder kit makes it super easy for anyone to contour parts of their face and fab for a newbie into makeup. The highlighter in the kit compliments my skin tone beautifully!

MUA Eye Primer

The perfect dupe for UDPP! The MUA Eye Primer does a fantastic job of keeping my eyeshadows in place all day without any creasing and i have super oily lids! Now doesn't that say something?!

MUA Brow Kit

One of my favourite drugstore products. I love having naturally defined brows and the MUA Brow Kit has everything you need in one place. I also use the lighter shades as transitioning colours for smokey eye makeup or highlighting under the brow.

VIVO Healthy Glow

I reach for this highlighter more than my higher end ones, now that is saying something! This is a fantastic highlighter because it gives the high points of my face a healthy sheen without it looking too shimmery. The VIVO range can be found at larger Tesco stores.

KIKO Lipsticks

I love the colour range that KIKO have and also the variety of textures. Their lipsticks are super creamy and extremely pigmented.

L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara

My favourite mascara! I use this every single day and in the majority of my tutorials. It gives the lashes volume and length without any clumping!

NYX Blush

These tiny pots of blush can give a punch of colour! They are super pigmented and there is an array of colours to choose from. The one issue is that you can only get it online.

I personally think some drugstore items can be a hit or a miss, and the one thing that i always struggle to find is base products for my skin tone, however i love trying out other face makeup like blushes, eyeshadows etc.

  1. I also love the soap glory kohl, along with their supercat pen liner (especially for doing a thin, barely there line right against the lashes).

Was surprised not to see the MUA Undressed/ Heaven &Earth palettes on your list, as they seem to be every bloggers favourites! - Thoughts?

  13. Hey Selina! I love the Volume Million de Cils mascara. And I also love NYX blusher especially cinammon which is perfect for darker skin tone (if used with caution because it's a very bright orange). Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks are good as well.

  16. I love the mascaras from Maybelline & loreal; the color tattoos from Maybelline make great bases for eye shadow (the pink one is my fave); milani/rimmel eye liners are super soft and easy to use; and lastly the 4 pan palette from elf (it not really a makeup item but I use it store mac eye shadows - love it!)
