Benefit They're Real Mascara Review

I have wanted to try the Benefit They're Real Mascara for so long and then a couple of months back i gave in and bought it! I was actually quite pleased with my purchase because you got a travel size mascara free!

With me, when i love a mascara, i will use them for ages and it takes a lot for me to change to another mascara. In the last three years i have only used MAC Plush Lash Mascara and the L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes.

I have never been too keen on the rubber wands, however the L'Oreal mascara had a rubber wand, so i gave the Benefit mascara a chance. I adore the packaging of the mascara with the silver tube, as i haven't seen anything similar on the market.

The wand is very unique with how the bristles are and they grip every single lash, ensuring that the mascara has been evenly applied. It separates them, as well as lengthening them and makes the eyes appear more defined.

When i first tried the mascara, i just put on one coat and oh my goodness i could see the difference instantly! I normally apply two or three coats of mascara to my lashes and when i did, they looked longer and thicker but without the clumpiness.

At first i didn't notice any flakiness with the mascara, but then later on, i saw some mascara had flaked onto my face. I know for certain that it wasn't an old mascara but i think after time it does start to flake.....or maybe it was just me?

Overall, i do like this mascara but not sure about the flakiness! I have the travel size version, so will give it another go and hopefully it won't flake!

It retails at £18.50 and can be purchased HERE

Have you used this mascara? What do you think?

  1. Hiya bit random I loved the the travel size mascara rather than the full size lol I'm not entirely sure if its because of how much product was on the wand but it was a mofo taking it off. Can you recommend a cleanser pls as I defo still want to use it, my Garnier cleansing lotion won't do the job lol
    Much love xx

    1. Try the boots waterproof eye makeup remover pads. They come in a blue tub and are already pre-soaked with product. This stuff takes the mascara off really easily!! xx
