It’s incredible how within the past year hair oils have made a big impact on the beauty industry. For me, using hair oil was a thing of the norm. Coming from an asian background, I grew up using hair oil as a treatment.
I am very simple with my hair care routine, I believe less is more. Normally I use shampoo, conditioner, and then hair oil through my damp hair. If I am using a heated hair appliance, I would use heat protection spray. That’s it!
For the past year I have been using Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment, but recently I discovered the Clynol Glow Precious Oil*.
On the website is says:
“Glow precious oil for a groundbreaking way to repair and gloss - weightlessly! Formulated with superfine Marula oil, this feather-light elixir instantly targets damage to transform dull and lifeless into beautifully soft and smooth hair with a brilliant shine. Reduces split ends. Suitable for all hair types, including fine hair.”
The oil feels much lighter than the Macadamia oil, because the Macadamia oil appears much denser in consistency and it has soft, subtle scent.
I use 1 or 2 pumps and work it through damp hair. I also like to use it on dry hair when it has just been styled, because it gives a glossy finish to the look. I have thick wavy-curly hair and I try to avoid using heat, so I normally let my hair naturally dry. The hair just feels smoother and more manageable and doesn’t look frizzy or unruly.
Overall, i am loving using this oil, as it keeps my hair much more manageable and less frizzy.
