The Body Shop Sweet Lemon Beautifying Oil Review

I have been using this body oil non-stop since I got it because I love citrusy body products. I was previously using the Origins Ginger Soufflé (REVIEW HERE), however it is quite expensive and found it finishing very quickly, as I was using the soufflé on a daily basis.
I find this oil very moisturizing but I don’t have super dry skin on my body. I haven’t used this on my hair and I don’t think I will be. I prefer using this on my body only, for the reason that it's quick and easy to use.
I apply this straight after a bath or shower on wet skin and it leaves my skin feeling very soft. It doesn’t have a greasy feeling to it and absorbs well. The smell is very fresh and subtle, however I can’t smell it on me by the end of the day.
The bottle does appear quite small, however you really don’t need that much. I am not even half way through but have been using it frequently since I got it.
Overall, i am loving using this oil, the only downside is that the scent doesn't really last on my skin. I may try layering it with their other sweet lemon body products.
The Body Shop Beautifying Oils retail at £9, but if you have a rewards card, you can enjoy 10% off. Check the oils out HERE

  1. I was in The Body Shop over the holidays & somehow totally missed this product. It sounds really nice. I love oils, especially for my dry hair. I might have to try this if I can find it in my country.

I did pick up their Moringa Body Butter, though. As well as their older formulation of their ginger Body Butter. Both are gorgeously scented but my favorite is the Moringa! The fragrance reminds me of frangipani flowers or something very similar, but even sweeter & more exotic. This one is made in Thailand & I can smell the difference in the scent because of that. It's got a strong enough perfumed oil in it that if I apply it after a bath or shower, I don't need to apply any perfume at all. It smells amazing just by itself! I forgot to ask them if they make a similar perfume oil. Will have to check their website. I haven't bought anything from TBS in quite a few years until this past Christmas, but I'll be stocking up on this product for sure. If I shop with them online I can very often get items at 50% off, which is an incredible deal! They're always sending me their company newsletter with all their discount sales, which I will be taking full advantage of. Do UK customers get the same great deals?

  2. I have just ordered more stuff from TBS because they were having 40% off on all products online! I do love the products from them because their products are such good quality and you're not forking out £30 on a body cream!
