Budget Buy | Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Review

I have been trying for years to find a good drugstore foundation that not only matches my skin colour but doesn’t break me out! Now, i think i have found one!

I have been reluctant to try drugstore foundations, as i have never found one that is right for me and i always find it difficult trying to swatch foundation on my jaw line in the store!
Well Superdrug had a 3 for 2 offer and i thought it was the right time to invest in some foundation. So......it took me a while to try many different shades and i ended up getting the colour 315.
315 is Soft Honey, a golden undertone that matched my skin tone perfectly. There are 18 shades to choose from and come in three levels: 100 light, 200 medium and 300 deep.

I like that this foundation is in a pump because it is more hygienic. The only thing i don’t like is the glass bottle and for me, isn’t travel friendly.
I love this foundation and found it to be enough to even out my skin tone without my complexion looking cakey. This foundation lets the natural skin shine through and has been compared to NARS Sheer Glow, however the Maybelline foundation is much more lighter and sheerer. The consistency of this foundation is just right, as it’s not too runny nor too thick. I used a MAC 187 Stipling brush, to stiple on the foundation and it applied beautifully.

I think this foundation is suitable for dry to combination skins, as it is quite hydrating. This foundation has a dewy finish and i don’t think it would last very long on oily skin tones.
This is one of the best drugstore foundations i have tried and i am so pleased with it. It retails at £7.99 and can be picked up from your local Superdrugs or Boots.

Have you tried the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation?

  1. I have never tried it; however, I have tried the cover girl clean foundation. I was extremely dissapointed for it felt very cake and it made me look orange. That and I'd gotten the one for sensitive skin and by the end of the day I had this horrible rash everywhere that it'd been. I hope maybelline's works better :)

  2. I'm very surprised as I really detest all Maybelline products. They never cease to let me down. They're right up there with Cover Girl's utterly craptastic products.

Unfortunately, I want - and need - more coverage than this product would provide me with. I'm gonna stick with my Maq Pro foundation palette as it fulfills all my needs at the moment. Highlighting, contouring, concealer, foundation all in one 6 color, 55 gram palette for less than $45! Can't really beat that :-)
