12 Beauty Discoveries From 2012

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had an amazing evening last night! I can't believe 2012 is over. This year has gone incredibly quickly and i have been very blessed to have had some amazing experiences over this past year. I am hoping for an even better 2013!

I know many bloggers and youtubers are doing their favourite products from 2012 but i wanted to do my 12 beauty discoveries of 2012. These are new products i found in 2012 and have been using a lot!

  • Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentré (REVIEW HERE) - One of my favourite skin care products! Not only is it a moisturizer but it removes makeup too. This has kept my skin soft, hydrated and supple. Might have to pop to Paris soon!
  • NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer (REVIEW HERE) - The perfect tinted moisturizer! This has been my go to product for those days i don't want to wear foundation.
  • Daniel Sander Watercolor Blush (REVIEW HERE) - The best blush that gives you the 'I've just worked out look' without working out!
  • MAC Select Moisturecover (REVIEW HERE) - A natural and light concealer for everyday use.
  • Sleek Blush By 3 Palette (REVIEW HERE) - Who doesn't want 3 blushers for under £10? A great addition to my collection with super pigmentation.
  • Benefit Sun Beam Highlighter (REVIEW HERE) - Love, love, love this! One of the best highlighters for olive/tanned skin!
  • Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette (REVIEW HERE) - How can i not include this? This is the perfect palette for day and night!
  • KIKO Water Eyeshadows (REVIEW HERE) - One of my discoveries in Spain!
  • Benefit They're Real Mascara - This mascara is a winner to me! My lashes just look amazing with this on!
  • Clinique Chubby Stick - Perfect for a natural, everyday look.
  • YSL Glossy Lip Stains (REVIEW HERE) - A glossy, lip stain that leaves your lips with a beautiful tint.
  • Illamasqua Lipstick 'Box' (REVIEW HERE) - The ultimate red! Long lasting, highly pigmented that adds 'oomph' to your face.

What are your 2012 discoveries?

  1. All of these products look fantastic! One really good drugstore product that I found was the elf blush and contour pallet. Such a good pallet that works on a variety of skin tones, and you get it at a super cheap price!

  5. As usual great advice. I tried the benefit highlighter and it's amazing. For now, I'm using Phenomen' eye mascara and I'm very, very impressed with it. All the best to you and your family for this new year (one of your many You tube follower)

  7. Happy New Year!

I tried posting my list of products but it was apparently too long & got rejected LOL :-) I found a lot of great products that I've settled in to throughout 2012. As well as many duds! I finally feel like I've met my ultimate foundation - Estée Lauder Double Wear & Double Wear Light - (I hate the term 'holy grail' haha), as well as my absolute favorites of all time, that work for me every time I use them, in pretty much every product category: blush, mascara, liquid liner, gel liners, highlighters, lipstick, lip gloss, primer, finishing powder, foundation etc.

That being said, I did spend a whole lot of money this year to discover those favorites. Several thousand $$ in fact. Which kind of makes me cringe, but the money is already spent.....and I do have one hell of a collection of products :-) And because I've found so many favorites that not much could measure up to, I'm finding myself spending less this New Year, so far. I hope that's a continuing trend because I want to try out some fillers & Botox this year, which can be pretty damn pricey :-)
