A Little NARS Haul. NARS Outlaw, Brousse, Dogon

When i had received an email from ASOS telling me that there was a 20% discount on cosmetics, i knew i couldn't resist purchasing a few bits!

I ended up getting a NARS blush in Outlaw and two duo eyeshadows in Brousse and Dogon.

NARS Outlaw blush is a rosey, raspberry pink with a golden shimmer. I find this highly pigmented, as with all the NARS blushes. I love the colour of this, as it gives me a flushed look to my cheeks. I prefer to apply this with a MAC 187 brush and to stiple it onto my cheeks.

Left: Heavily Swatched. Right: Blended

NARS Brousse is an eyeshadow duo with purple and coolish brown taupe. Like a lot of the NARS eyeshadows, it feels very silky on application and blends very well. I haven't noticed any fallout when applying this, however i do always use Urban Decay Primer Potion. The darker shade can be worn very subtly in the socket during the day and in the evening can be built up for a more intense, smoky look.

NARS eyeshadow duo in Brousse is a beautiful duo! The first colour is a light taupe/green shade and the other eyeshadow looks almost charcoal black/blue. For me, Dogon is very unique and when you mix both shades together, it creates such a beautiful greenish shade! It reminds me on MAC Club eyeshadow. Both shades compliment each other but can be worn alone as well.

Have you used any of these shades? What are your favourite NARS eyeshadows?

  2. One of my very small hauls arrived in the mail today from the US, actually. My Modern Mandarin blush !! WOOT !! and a Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color in Wild Rose. Love them both to bits! Last week one of my eBay UK orders came in with my Sleek Pan Tao blush & one of their mattes palettes in V2, with the darker matte shadows. Wow, are they pigmented!

Pan Tao is similar to Modern Mandarin & very pigmented, but they're also very different. Although they're both very bright shades that need to be applied with a stippling brush.

Got another huge haul coming from the US very soon, loaded with limited edition MAC products that I buy from a well trusted source who has her own online store. Can't wait to play with all my new toys!

Oh, and I was actually using NARS Mekong yesterday - wet - as a liner & outer corner shade. It's not my favorite brand of cosmetics, by any means, and I don't tend to buy much from them. But that first eyeshadow duo you swatched looks really nice. I might have to pick that one up! :-)

    1. I have Bobbi Brown Wild Rose, it's such a beautiful colour for the lips and isn't too bright. I keep meaning to purchase the Sleek matte palette but it's always out of stock in my nearest store!

I love any kind of orangy blushers!!! They are actually my favourite and look so pretty on the skin!

I do have a little obsession with NARS, just because i find most of their products work so well with me and my clients! :)

    1. Outlaw blush is one of those colours that would suit most skin tones. I only have a few of the NARS eyeshadows and i have to say i am not disappointed. They feel very buttery and are extremely easy to blend! xxx

  5. Such beautiful colours! I only have one of the eyeshadows and it is one of my favourites, but NARS makeup is much more expensive than other brands.
