Coral Blushes

Morning ladies! Apologies for not posting on the blog recently, i know i have been super bad! I have only been home a week from Spain and still trying to settle back in at home and i haven't even unpacked! LOL!

Now, many of you many know i have an obsession with coral colours, especially when it comes to blush. Coral blushers get me all excited as it's one of those colours that compliment dark skin beautifully.

Coral is the PERFECT shade for summer, whether it's on your cheeks, lips or nails! There are many different shades of coral and there is always one for every skin tone. I have many different tones of coral and in different textures. I don't really have a preference for cream or powder blushes, it just depends on my mood.

Top-Bottom: MAC Modern Mandarin, NARS Gilda, Bobbi Brown Apricot, Benefit Coralista

Top-Bottom: NARS Cactus Flower, Bobbi Brown Calypso Coral, MAC Rich Coral, Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Nectar, Benefit Cha Cha Tint.

For cream blushes i like to use a MAC 187 Stipling Brush. I prefer using this brush as i can lightly apply the colour and it's one of those brushes that picks up the right amount of product. When it comes to powder blushes, the MAC 168 Angled Brush is perfect. I love the shape of the brush and it is very easy to blend the colour with this brush.

I don't really have a SINGLE favourite, but i do find myself reaching for the NARS Gilda a lot! For the warmer months, i love using the cream blushes and the Bobbi Brown Calypso Coral is a firm favourite. Benefit Cha Cha Tint is perfect for a long lasting coral flush on my cheeks and lips and it's something that i use on my no makeup days - defeats the object right?!

Do any of you have a favourite coral blush?

  2. Oooohhhh.....love the Bobbi Brown Calypso Coral! That'll be the next blush I buy, for sure! I think I can pull it off if I apply it really lightly. My skin tone is much lighter than yours - pasty white really LOL - but I'm sure if I'm careful I can make it work for me. Thanks for the gorgeous swatches :-)

  3. Is MAC Rich Coral a powder or cream? It's difficult to tell from the photos. Also, is it limited edition? Definitely a shade I'm interested in picking up, if I can find it!
