Revlon Lip Butters Review & Swatches

Ok, so I know i am a tad bit late with the Revlon Lip Butters. However i have been trying so hard to get my hands on them and when they first launched in the UK, most of the colours were gone!

Now i have managed to get my mitts on six beautiful colours :) I can't believe how crazy people were for them in the USA and now i understand why!

The packaging is lovely and the see through packaging with the clear top goes down well with me. I love the colour co-ordinated packaging.

I purchased six shades, Pink Truffle, Raspberry Pie, Tutti Frutti, Candy Apple, Sweet Tart and Macaroon.

The consistency reminds me of the Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Colour and Clinique Colour Surge Butter Shine Lipstick, however the Revlon Lip Butters feel more buttery. They are smooth to apply and some of them have more pigment than others. It feels almost a gel like balm on the lips but with more colour.

The staying power is a few hours of wear on my lips, depending on what shade i am wearing and also what i am doing (i.e. eating or drinking).

The shade range is fantastic, with 20 colours to choose from. I am loving Raspberry Pie because the colour payoff is incredible and goes well with my skin tone. For an everyday i like Pink Truffle, as its a soft pinky brown.

Overall i am in love with these products! My lips normally get dry throughout the day, which is why i prefer wearing sheer, moisturizing colours on my lips.  I would highly recommend them and they retail at £7.99, so they aren't super expensive. Plus Boots and Superdrug always do offers on drugstore makeup.

  1. Wow, I'm very surprised that I love the look of these! They're much more pigmented than I expected. Much! When I hear the word 'butter' in reference to any product, I tend to think sheer or very light. Which is why I avoided them altogether. I was definitely wrong about these & will hunting some down in the next week :-)

I'm always in awe of your lips! haha :-)
